Area Attractions

Aside from Albuquerque attractions such as the Rio Grande Zoo, the Albuquerque Aquarium and Botanic Garden, museums, and more, you are only 60 miles from Santa Fe, and Acoma Pueblo's Sky City, the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in America. New Mexico is arguably where American history began, creating a crossroads of Native-, Spanish- and Anglo-America.

In addition, you'll enjoy choosing between all the superb wineries, microbreweries, night clubs, museums, theaters, concert halls, shopping areas, casinos, and restaurants across the city.

And speaking of dining, be sure to try New Mexico's signature dish while you're here: enchiladas! But you'll have a decision to make - New Mexico's official state question is "Red or green?" which refers to enchiladas made with fresh, young green chile, or the dried, crushed red chile. You won't know which you like best until you try them both!

Acoma pueblo New Mexico is rich in cultural heritage for you to discover. Acoma Peublo's Sky City, the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in America, is less than an hour's drive from Albuquerque.
National Hispanic Cultural Center The National Hispanic Cultural Center is located in Albuquerque as well. With great programs in the visual, performing, literary, and culinary arts, the Cultural Center is a hub of cultural activity in the area.
